Upon arrival to the Zvartnots International Airport, you will be greeted by your driver and privately transferred to your hotel. Overnight stay in Yerevan.
After breakfast, please enjoy a city tour of Yerevan. We start at the Mother Armenia Statue for a panoramic view of Yerevan and Mount Ararat, and visit the military museum beneath it. We then explore the Cascade complex, famous for its modern art pieces and limestone stairway linking downtown Yerevan with the Monument neighborhood.
Next, we stroll through Northern Avenue, passing the State Opera and Ballet Theatre, luxurious shops, and restaurants, before reaching Republic Square, Yerevan’s central town square. We also visit the Vernissage Market, an open-air weekend market featuring art, traditional carpets, and more, and end at Gum Market, the best local fresh food market in Yerevan.
Enjoy the rest of the day exploring the city on your own. Overnight in Yerevan.
After breakfast, we explore northern Armenia, starting with Lake Sevan, the largest lake in the Caucasus and one of the highest freshwater lakes in the world. We’ll visit Sevanavank Monastery atop a small hill and, weather permitting, enjoy a boat tour on the lake (not included).
Next, we head to Tsaghkadzor, known for its ski resort, ropeway, and the medieval Kecharis Monastery. We’ll take the ropeway for spectacular mountain views before continuing to the resort town of Dilijan, situated within Dilijan National Park. We’ll visit the serene Lake Parz and the Haghartsin Monastery, then stroll through the historic Old Dilijan Street. Return to Yerevan for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, we take a short drive to the Armenian Alphabet monument, built from large stones and opened in 2005 to celebrate the 1600th anniversary of the Armenian alphabet’s invention.
Next, we visit Lake Kari, a small mountainous lake situated 3,200 meters above sea level near the four peaks of Mount Aragats. Popular in the summer for its fresh air, this area is a favorite among locals. Our tour continues to Saghmosavank Monastery, perched atop the Kasagh gorge and dating back to the 13th century.
We return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Yerevan.
After breakfast, drive to Khor Virap Monastery in Ararat Province, known for imprisoning Gregory the Illuminator and offering stunning views of Mount Ararat.
Continue to Areni village for wine tasting, then visit the 13th-century Noravank Monastery, nestled among red cliffs.
Lastly, explore the town of Jermuk, famous for its “Mermaid’s Hair” waterfall and mineral water gallery. Return to Yerevan for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, visit the Garni Pagan Temple, the only standing Hellenistic temple in the Caucasus, dating back to the 1st century AD.
Continue to Geghard Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage site partially carved into the rock. Stop at the Arch of Charents for stunning views of Mount Ararat.
Finally, explore the natural monument Symphony of Stones. Return to Yerevan for overnight stay.
