Your adventure begins at Al Qasab Village with your guide. Al-Qasab is a town in the Riyadh Region of Saudi Arabia. It is located about 150 kilometers northwest of the capital, Riyadh. Al-Qasab is known for its production of salt, which is extracted from the ground. The town produces more than a third of the Kingdom’s need for coarse salt. Al-Qasab has benefited from the urban and service boom that has affected most of the Kingdom’s regions and governorates. It is currently a modern city with complete services.
Venture into the heart of the Arabian Desert and discover the mesmerizing beauty of Shaqra’s dunes. These undulating hills of golden sand, sculpted by the winds of the desert, offer an unparalleled opportunity to immerse yourself in the tranquillity and grandeur of nature.
Shaqra Heritage Village: Continue with your guide and immerse yourself in the heart of Shaqra. Explore the Heritage Village, where narrow streets lined with mudbrick houses, mosques, and shops showcase the region’s architectural heritage. Mingle with welcoming locals and gain insights into their way of life. Shaqra was one of the most important towns in the Al-Washm region of Najd.
After Shaqra, you will be transferred to Amassi-Alref Restaurant & Café (or similar), a local restaurant featuring traditional cuisine, to enjoy your lunch.
After lunch, our next destination is Ushaiger. The name Ushaiger means “the little blonde” in Arabic. It is one of the oldest settlements in the region and served as a major stopping point for pilgrims traveling to Mecca for Hajj or Umrah for centuries. The village is known for its well-preserved Najdi mudbrick architecture, narrow alleyways, and lush palm groves.
Enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of Ushaiger. We will seek out a high vantage point to admire the best scene of the entire city.
From Ushaiger, enjoy an excursion to the nearby sand dunes.
Dune Bashing: Unleash your inner adventurer and embark on an exhilarating dune-bashing adventure. experiencing the adrenaline rush as you conquer the peaks and valleys of the dunes.
Sandboarding: Glide down the slopes of the dunes on a sandboard, experiencing the thrill of surfing the desert sands. Feel the wind in your hair and the sun on your face as you carve your path down the dunes.
